- Frantic, mayhem, non stop action, lots of stuff to shoot, etc,etc. You
get all that and alot more in this update of one the all time great
classic shooters. But this is no clone, this game adds plenty of updated
graphics and eye candy to keep you glued to the screen and into the
action.
Mouse Mode:
Mouse: Turn /
Aim
Right Button: Thrust
Left Button: Shoot
Space: Bomb
Keyboard Mode:
Left, Right Arrow
Keys: Turn Ship
Up Arrow: Thrust
Lshift or Z: Shoot
Space: Bomb
F11, F12: Adjust Gamma (Only in full screen mode)
F9, F10: Adjust sound fx volume.
F7, F8: Adjust music volume.
F4: Remove frame rate throttle, run full speed.
F3: Lock at 60fps
F2: Lock at 30fps.
F1: Lock at 20fps.
ESC: Exit
Config Screen Options:
Full Screen: On = Full screen, off = window mode.
Vsync: Only affects full screen mode. Waits for a vertical sync
before rendering to the screen. If you have a decent graphics card turn
this on. Leave this off if you get sluggish performance, it could smooth
out the frame rate a bit.
60hz: Force the Vsync on your monitor to 60hz for full screen
mode. Allows smoother movement on some computers.
Triple Buff: If your card has more than 32mb of memory turn this
option on for smoother game play.
32Bit Color: If the game runs a little choppy try turning this
option off.
Mouse Mode: If on then use the mouse. If off use the keyboard.
Trails: Turns particle trails off and on.
Starfield: Turns the starfield off/on.
Layer 1, Layer 2: Turn some of the background graphics off/on.
Planets: Turn the Earth and Moon off or on.
Note:
In the event of sluggish performance, the first thing you should is
disable high color from the config screen. The game may not look as nice,
but it should run faster in low color mode. (Low color is 16bit, high
color is 32bit.) Also try turning some of the graphics options off if you
get sluggish performance.
Also
try deactivating any virus checkers, spyware programs, etc. These can have
a dramatic impact on performance.
Easy Mode:
When easy mode is
active, your ship will be able to take alot more damage but your points
will only increase by half the regular amount. So use this mode to
practice your skills and then go back and shoot for your high score!

Roidulous is a retro style 2D arcade game based on the classic Asteroids. But it goes much further than just another asteroids clone. You get massive amounts of "stuff" to shoot at and destroy. Because the action is so frantic it's kind of like "Robotron meets Asteroids"!
